Why we liked it?
  • The Canva free logo maker is one of our favourite logo generators as the website is pretty straight forward and you have a lot of options to make your own logo.
  • It provides a very user-friendly interface, making users unfamiliar with logo design instantly comfortable. 
  • It all works quick and easy, and best of all you can save your free logo on your computer as a jpg, pdf or png file

  • To use the free logo maker from Canva, you have to make an account with your email, but you can also log in via Facebook to make it a bit easier. Once done, you have free use of all the tools.

The bad
  • This logo creator is free for logo designs with low resolution. If you want to create a logo with high-resolution, you have to pay a fee. We found the low resolution logos acceptable for web/print work.

Why we liked it?
  • Logo Makr offers a nice and useful introduction video about how to design a logo, which gives you great tips, advise and inspiration before you start to make your own logo.
  • This Logo generator is pretty easy to use, so you don't have to be a graphic designer to make your own business logo

  • You start with selecting a symbol that you have in mind for your business logo
  • You can add a text or adjust and edit the logo's
  • Shape, colour and backgrounds are all adjustable too - there's lots of flexibility. 
The bad
  • You Save your free logo as a low resolution logo (still perfectly acceptable for basic needs(, but you can upgrade to a high-resolution logo when you pay a fee.

Why we liked it?
  • What you see is what you get at the Logo Factory. This free logo creator has a simple layout and is easy to use, especially if you are a beginner and don't want anything to complicated.

The bad
  • Compared with other logo makers it is quite simple and there are less options than the advanced logo makers have.

The bad
  • We couldn't find any bad features with this logo maker, and recommend it as an effective logo tool for those with basic design skills as it's intuitive to use.

Why we liked it?

  • The tool is easy to use and the logos produced are great quality
  • You can also produce your business brochure or business cards

  • In the last step you complete your logo with colours and text.
The bad
  • Logo Garden has a lot of advertisements but for the complete features offered this is more than understandable.

Why we liked it?
  • The steps to make your own logo are easy.
  • You put in your company name, then the logo maker gives you a few logo suggestions which the program matched with your name.
  • When you select your free logo, you can adjust the logo.

  • There are a few set icons you can choose and you can select shapes to use.
  • Different to the rest of the logo generators, you can add tags to the image.
The bad
  • The Studio Tailor Brands logo maker has very limited options compared to other logo makers
  • When you finish your logo, you have to sign up and you get one free logo in low resolution.

Why we liked it?
  • The system is simple, easy and straightforward. This comes from the website Saas SquareSpace, so you would expect their logo design to be packed with features while being easy to use. Overall, it is!

The bad
  • Quite simply, there are no bad things about this logo maker. SquareSpace delivers!

The bad
  • FlamingText is not the best logo designs compared with other logo generators.
Conclusion:
  • We believe in transparency and have excluded all the "pay to download" logo makers, as these are NOT "free" in any sense.
  • As such, in our research we noted many logo generators sell themselves as being "free", but in the end after a lot of mucking around, they are not free at all, wasting everyone's time.
  • With all the above logo design websites you can create your own logo 100 % free. Some are better than others and with some you have to sign up, and with others you can instantly download your free logo.
